The merciful judge of the dead in the afterlife as well as the agent of the underworld that granted all life, including sprouting vegetation and the fertile flooding of the Nile, Osiris was, and is, one of the most widely worshipped deities of the Egyptian Pantheon and, indeed, the ancient world. Here he is depicted with the crook and flail, symbols of how he was often considered a shepard of both the living and the dead, in the form of a mummified pharaoh as he was quite commonly shown in Egyptian lore. Standing 8 " high and 2" wide at its widest point, this statue is crafted of cold-cast resin and painted gold, accented with shades of red, green, and black.
